It's pictures like the one above that I really appreciate, folks. You'll notice, President Obama is testing out different chairs in the Oval Office. That black one to the left was that of former President Bush's seat. President Obama, later settled on the red one as it is the one he uses today. I like these types of pictures especially, because they really capture how human he can be and often we are quick to forget that. I mean, he is the leader of the free world. So here it is. Another moment, where we can focus on Mr. Obama's own humanity. Simple, like Goldie locks or something. I wonder why he chose the red one? Either way, I'm happy he did, because he has changed little else in the Oval Office since his inauguration. Kinda awkward for someone who promoted change so much. I digress.

Well folks, Mr. Obama gave his State of the Union address (his third appearance in the chamber since he was elected president). What did y'all think? Did you notice the change in the discussion from health care to jobs? It's about time seeing as job growth is invisible and 1 in 10 Americans is unemployed.

I won't play CNN, but I will predict that tomorrow's headlines will include Mr. Obama's rally cry, "I don't quit." And for the petty headlines? Well, you will likely notice the pundits talking about Justice Alito's head shaking and muttering when Obama accused the highest court of setting America back a century with its latest ruling. At least no one shouted "You lie!" I can't really dissect this much more as the rest was Mr. Obama stating the obvious, using his oratory talents of course.

Folks. I love this. I truly do. It's Christmas for me. George Bush, whether you love him or hate him, is certainly a character and always entertaining. I just love the way he communicates when he is just 'being George.' He's really is...that guy you'd have a beer with. I love his invention of words and his low key mentality. I love how he asks questions and then answers them all in one breath. I love how he is always on the brink of laughter even when he is talking about the heaviest of subjects. Man. That's my Bush.

Folks, President Obama is leading the way with the efforts to aide and provide relief to Haiti after its recent earthquake that has left considerable destruction and devastation.

Mr. Obama has put in many phone calls to leaders including the President of the Dominican Republic who has helped with the evacuation process. Obama called to praise the leader. The president has also placed two additional calls both to former presidents. Enlisting the help of former President George Bush (the son not the father) and Bill Clinton, Mr. Obama has created bi-partisan effort. The logistics of how to the two will contribute is not explicit but both are said to be on board. God Bless the people of Haiti.

Well folks, it is indeed a bitter sweet time for all conservatives and many Republicans in America. You see, Super Sarah, the former Governor of Alaska and Vice Presidential candidate has signed a contract with the Fox Network to serve as a contributor. This means that Ms. No More Politics as Usual, will be speaking more frequently with her followers and base. She will be a contributor for Fox News both on the T.V screen and online. She will even occasionally host one of Fox's upcoming new shows according to reports on the web. So why is this all sad? Seems like she's getting exactly what she wants, right? Well, sure. She will continue to project her conservative go get em ideology of shaking things up in the political establishments, but not in the capacity that her followers had hoped. Not as a public servant, or political powerhouse. That means...no Palin 2012. Blast. Democrats aren't exactly thrilled either as Palin would have been an easy opponent, or so they say. The bright side of this story is that with all the tension over at NBC regarding Conan and Jay, America needs to know it can find humor for certain somewhere on television. God Bless America.

Folks. THIS is the last straw. I have long voiced my criticism against the Big Guy, President Obama, I know. But this...this is where I draw the line. Enough is too much Mr. Obama! So what am I livid about, America? Some new policy? A rumored veto? Maybe a political gaffe? NO! It's his State of the Union address.

It is set to be delivered to the American people on February 2nd That date sound familiar to you? (besides being the VP and my liability's birthday) It's the premier of LOST on ABC and as you may know I am an avid LOST fan. This is the final series of this show I have come to love. It's a show of destiny, mystery, and spirituality. There are five seasons of unanswered questions that will come to a head this February...and needless to say, I can't wait a moment more. So I am saying, "SHAME ON YOU OBAMA!" His address would certainly interrupt the programming and push the premier back.

Why this date? Why? This is our destiny America, this was supposed to work! Obama, don't tell us what we can and cannot do! I mean, who needs to know the State of the Union? If you haven't been hiding under a rock then you know America is effed. Two wars and a failing economy that isn't producing jobs. Done. State of the Union. Addressed. Check please. Now cue that up close shot of someones eye!

Folks, it seems like not only are washed up musicians cashing in on the Reality TV train, but now, so are Politicians. (Yesterday I wrote about Iron Chef and the White House) I'll have you know that Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is set to appear on an upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice. You might remember Rod as that dashing governor with big hair who was removed by office for trying to auction off the Big Guy's (President Obama) senate seat. He should of used Ebay. I digress. And so, it seems that once again Donald Trump comes to the defense of those whose 15 minutes have long expired. For all the criticism I offered here, I'll have you know, being the hypocrite that I am, I am going to watch. I mean come on, who wouldn't tune in with such wash-ups as Brett Michaels, Summer Sanders, and Sinbad all starring. SINBAD! It seems that in 2010, "Reality" TV isn't going anywhere. Check your local listing for the NBC program set to air sometime in March.

My final thought: Is there enough room on television for both those hair do's?

Exactly one year ago on this day, The Commander In Chief (the blog not the person) was born. Today, we celebrate it's one year anniversary. In that celebration there is cause for reflection, not on the content that the blog has offered, the news that has been covered, or even the year. There is due reflection needed in regards to the purpose of this blog and the purpose really (without sounding too grandiose) of humanity. 365 days ago, pradia2040.blogspot.com set out to become a nesting ground for a coalition of people who subscribe to 2040 ideology. That is, people looking to honor their country and countrymen through achieving the greatest sense of humor about the politics of politics and the politics of life. That is, being governed by compassion. That is, serving the world around us. Have these goals been achieved in 2009? ABSOLUTELY. With a decent amount of traffic to this site, a dialogue has been certainly created and ratified. Emotion, concern, and dedication has been brought back to politics in the most visceral way. Our purpose, fully achieved.

But what about 2010? The birth of a new decade. What is the covenant to be made, the promise to cling to, the purpose? Well, I cannot say for the world, but for our blog we exhibit a new mentality. We are all brothers and sisters, therefore all family, and all American, despite our disagreements. This 2040 message, will be made clearer here.

So on this New Years Eve, let's certainly celebrate the year we are leaving behind. Here we will celebrate the one year of the operation of this blog and all its successes. But also, we will look ahead with little anticipation, BUT great confidence in our loyalty to each other!

Press Release: Pradia returned to his home away from home yesterday to continue the remainder of his holiday. The Commander In Chief spent 10 days at his Connecticut home with most of his family before making his return. Pradia offered offered up little information to the press as to what he would be doing for 12 days before returning to Camelot, other than this statement: "Camp Rodrig just got a Wii, so I imagine I'll be golfing a lot." When asked if he would miss his family in Connecticut he agreed that he would but added, "Wii are all family at Camp Rodrig." Pradia in true form, offering up a little play on words for America.

As 2010 rears its ugly head towards America at an alarming pace, I am clinging on to what's left of a tired and largely defeated 2009. A lot happened in America this year. I believe 2009 is the middle movie in a blockbuster trilogy, that is, we have a lot of answered questions but even more questions un-answered. If we recap 2009, maybe we can read between the lines a bit. Maybe detect a pattern. Maybe see the future? So here, at the Commander In Chief, I personally have selected the top 10 moments of the year. What, constitutes a top 10 moment on this blog you ask? These do, America.

THE TOP 10

10. Lou Dobbs resigns from his throne at CNN in November, only to enter the news and talk show circuit, hinting at a run for Political office. Incidently, Dobbs, who is tough on immagration has been replaced by an illegal alien at the news network he called home, since its birth.9. You Lie! In September during an address to congress, virtually unknown congressman of South Carolina, Joe Wilson had an outburst at the President. Incidently, his remarks became a fashion statement appearing on T-shirts, around the world.
8. H1N1 formerly known as the swine flu, confirmed the once sarcastic statement, "When Pigs Fly." The flu became somewhat of an epidemic this year.

7. Jon and Kate split up. I still don't care, but most of America seemed to, so it makes the list. The split prompted the TLC show's new title (Kate plus 8 plus Hate). I jest.

6. Bernie Madoff with a lot of people's money. Read that sentece again, it's not a grammar issue, it's a joke. That's right Bernie Maddoff out did Ponzi, in the biggest Ponzi scheme to date in 2009.

5. Imma late you finish, but Kanye insulted Americans the best in 2006 when he said, "George Bush hates black people." He still makes the list this year though, after he insulted America's sweetheart Taylor Swift, by interrupting her at an MTV awards show.

4. The Hudson River Landing as it's known to most Americans. Sully, as he likes to be called, the captain of the airplane headed to North Carolina safely landed in the Hudson River after striking some geese that failed the engines last in January of the year.

3. Billy Mays, Michael Jackson, and Ted Kennedy all passed away this year. All of them were leaders in their own passions; technology, entertainment/music, and politics.

2. Sarah Palin! Super Sarah stayed in the spot light through out the year extending her welcome well beyond 15 minutes. She said some crazy stuff, she did some crazy stuff (resigned in July of 09) and wrote some crazy stuff.

1. Yes we did! America's new president...now in black. On January 20th Obama was inaugurated at the nation's 44th president and first African American elected to serve in the role as America's top leader.

It's FINALS week here at Camelot. This is a time when folks stay up late, order out to eat, and review the many notes that they have taken during the semester. The days move by fast and the pressure rises trying to resist explosion. It is a stressful time indeed. Nevertheless, me and the rest of my peers truck along hoping for victory and success, like an A, in our academics and experience. Ah, who am I kidding, Mr. Obama. Folks just want to pass...A's are unrealistic in this world. B+ is the new A. Which is why I wanted to congratulate you. The other night when you sat down with Oprah for her White House Christmas special, she asked you to grade yourself and you gave yourself a "solid B+" But, I want to say, that you deserve an A. You wanna know why? Well, I'll tell ya. So what we have two wars, you're working to pull us out of Iraq. So what we have seen one of the worst recessions of our time. At least you stabilized our economy so that we didn't sink into a dark and gloomy depression. Health Care? You're working on it and it's gonna pass. So where is there room for improvement? No where Mr. President. So I say, rejoice and consider yourself on American's Dean List.

I'm running for President in 2040...and apparently so are a lot of other folks, folks.

Take this Navy Quarterback, Ricky Dobbs. In a recent interview he talks about his past and how it has shaped his present. Struggling to afford health care, Dobbs was not afforded the opportunity to see a dentist until he was 17. Furthermore he remarks about how his experience will shape his future, specifically two thousand and forty, as he calls it. That's right, his future includes a run for political office. Could this guy be my future opponent? I'm not doubting my abilities folks, but let's hope he sticks to running the ball and not for president. It's bad enough I've got to deal with a Jonas brother. May the best man win.

I say HILARIOUS. Remember, when Dubya got a shoe thrown at him (he dodged it), that was funny. Well, history repeated itself when a 33 year old man attempted to hit the former Governor of Alaska, Super Sarah Palin, with ripe tomatoes at a book signing recently. He missed and hit two cops unfortunately for him.

I mean, folks, this is just too good to be true. It's like a game on "Who's Line is it anyways." You have all the right players and pieces for comedy to ensue. You got the perfect location (the biggest mall in America). You got the best tool to besmirch someones honor (a tomato) assuming Palin has any honor left in her. It's great. This one is for the books. Can you imagine if there was footage! Palin ain't said a word about the incident yet.

Movies my father likes

It's got the gun toting and flying bullets. It's got the unnecessary explosions and sure, the corny one liners are there too. With a shaved head and goatee John Travolta stars in a new movie, called "From Paris with Love." I'm not sure what it is about for sure, but it seems like some reckless mother (watch your mouth, I''m only talking about Shaft) leads some haphazard young kid on a precarious and sensitive mission. Think, the latest "Die Hard" movie. Basically, it's your typical blockbuster with a mild story line and outlandish pyrotechnics. It's a discourse to remind us just how bad ass America can be. It's the the type of movie my father likes.

Folks, this isn't some sort of a joke. The photo isn't photo shopped nor does this entry serve to merely exploit the person photographed.

Apparently this is a routine problem that airlines are facing this day and rightfully so as America has become the fattest nation on the planet. This picture was taken by a nervous flight attendant at American Airlines. She wanted to represent the situation well and to argue that the rest of the passengers were not safe in this situation. She defends that it is necessary for folks this big to buy two seats. Is that fair? Is this guy too fat to fly?

Between the reaction from the media and the American people over Afghanistan and Tiger's shenanigans involving other woman and a nine iron through his windshield (I hope his wife shouted "four!" as a warning) these men are having a (excuse my French) shitty week. Granted, I don't have a family falling apart or the fate of humanity resting on my shoulders, but a container of Tomato bisque did explode in my only backpack yesterday ruining some very important papers. Support The Troops!

Mr. Obama announced Tuesday night to the American people his military strategy for Afghanistan. It's odd that sometimes we forget as a nation that the President is in fact the Commander In Chief responsible for the lives of our servicemen and the global message of our country. He's the top military guy, the head honcho. Not just some Health Care nut. America is realizing that more and more as his plans are made clear.

Mr. Obama will dispatch 30,000 American troops by the Summer (a six month period) at what he hopes is the "fastest pace possible." Jim Jones, the National Security Advisor called it an "achievable goal" while other military leaders are hesitant to be as hopeful. Many argue that it cannot be done as fast as it was done in Iraq due to the infrastructure of Afghanistan. Who can really say though? Certainly we will have to see, but in the mean time, here at the Commander In Chief we would like to encourage our readers to support the troops.

It doesn't matter if you're a Democrat or Republican. It doesn't matter if you live in a Blue state or a Red state. Who cares if you are conservative or liberal. Some of us agree with the war and some of us do not. But at the end of the day, we must surely honor those serving. We must be proud of those protecting our abilities to disagree here at home. The lives of our troops are not political folks, they are valuable and very precious. Be thankful. Support our troops!

Camp Rodrig: Thanksgiving

Press Release: Camp Rodrig is making the news tonight after hosting the Commander In Chief (the person not the blog) at its first annual Thanksgiving feast. Early this week, Pradia and some of his closest friends gathered prematurely to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with a home cooked meal by the master of the house. Pradia called the dinner, "intimate with many opportunities for laughter and reminiscing." The Commander In Chief will continue his festivities when he heads to his Connecticut home tomorrow to spend time with most of his family. Pradia is not expected to bring work with him, but does intend to catch up on some reading, exercise as well as to sleep. Furthermore, Pradia noted that upon his return to Camelot he will announce four new 2040 positions that will join the Vice President in carrying out his message.

LETTER # 7

Dear President Obama,

It's here! The American Holiday Season, as it were. On Thursday, Thanksgiving will catapult us into a time of cheer, roasting chestnuts on open fires, and a time with enough wrapping paper to cover the African continent. Oh, and I can't forget about "Black Friday." I like to think of it as the 'thanksgiving of shopping'. You know? Over buying until all you want to do is loosen your belt buckle and take a nap. Ah yes, Thanksgiving is on the horizon, indeed.

How do the Obama's celebrate? Where do you eat!? What's your favorite dish? Do tell. Does Michelle, you, or the White House Kitchen cook the meal? I digress and I am being far too coy. Of course my letter has an underlying message Mr. President, as it always does.

I am again writing you to discuss Health Care Reform in America. Congratulations again! With 60 votes in the Senate (58 dems and 2 independents who generally caucus with the party) the bill is up for debate after the holiday. You know, I was skeptical first about universal health care in America . But I realize that the time is now. No longer can our economy sustain the system in place, but also, it is our call to honor true brotherhood as Americans. It is our moral obligation to extend our hand and make sure first and foremost that our fellow Americans are healthy. And this fight, has to happen now.

Which is what I'd like to discuss. It's a bit of a stretch, but follow me a little. You see, Thanksgiving is a time when most Americans, religious or secular, get together with family to over eat, watch a football game, and enjoy the love of one another. It's a good thing! But, as history explains, it was largely born out of some evil. While the Pilgrims and Indians, erm...Native Americans, uh, American Indians, excuse me. While American Indians did enjoy a lovely feast on Plymouth Plantation...the steady flow of immigrants changed the atmosphere and eventually lead to a bloodbath, massacre, a genocide if you will. While it is devastating for this holiday to have come at such a high price, it is also something we can be thankful for, so long as we honor the lost souls, because something good has been created.

This is my idea of health care reform. It's a bloody fight. It's hot, painful, and dangerous, but I am confident good will be inspired. I am confident that one day we will look back on all this and say, "yay , we did it."

So Mr. Obama, thank you for being America's Chief. Enjoy the holiday, and godspeed.

Say it ain't so folks! Word around the water cooler is that Oprah, that's right, Queen O will be ending her ever popular and influential talk show that's been gracing our screens for 25 years now. WHAT! Who will tell us what books to read? Who will tell us how to love? Who will tell us "what could be happening right here in our neighborhood?" Say it ain't so.

Oprah will announce tomorrow in greater detail the end of her show, which is slated for September 9th, 2011. It's indeed sad to think that an icon and the Commander In Chief of an army of housewives, will soon hang up her talk show crown. No doubt however, that she will go on to bigger and better things. Perhaps build a college for the children who will graduate from her school. I can't say really. All I wonder is if the world can continue to spin in an era without Tom Cruise jumping on couches, cars being given away, and authors lying to the world on national television. What do you think?

She built a school in Africa, elected a black man President, what else is there for her to do.

Is this the face of the devil?

No folks, it is not. If you look closely you'll notice it is not Satan but former New York Mayor Giuliani. You might remember him as the Mayor who saved New York City's homeless, by offering them a one way Peter Pan Bus ticket out of the city. Why is he making the news here on the Commander In Chief, you ask? Well, you see, rumor in the political world is that he is going to announce a run for the 2010 Senate race of New York. If he won, he'd be serving in the seat formerly held by none other than Hillary Clinton, who by the way he ran and lost to in 2000. (well he bowed out after being diagnosed with prostate cancer). But he would of lost either way.

Even know it's only rumor at this point (Giuliani making no formal announcements), I find the news to be rather revealing and likely true as Giuliani has made it clear that he will not seek the Governorship of New York. It's quite possible that the former mayor will use the role as Senator to catapult himself into the national spotlight yet again in 2012 as a Republican contender and heir apparent to the Oval Office throne.

I dunno folks, is Mr. Giuliani actually out to save the world or control it? We will have to wait and see I expect.

Folks, I know it's early. Very early. Too early to start talking about the 2012 United States Presidential Election. But, I'm a child and election season is the Christmas season for me, so cut me some slack.

Now, I'm not trying to oust Obama from his throne over at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but I am a little caught up in what the Republicans must do if they ever want to hold the Oval Office again. In short, my following words, are in no way support for any particular party, but simply a discussion of strategy. I want to explain just how the Republicans must play the game of politics, if they want to play for keeps.

They're doing it all wrong now. Republicans should not be focusing on being anti Obama. Nor should they be striving for a sure fire candidate that can "take" Obama. The Republican Party should be independent of Obama. He should become to them "he who should not be mentioned", so to speak.

What the republican party needs is one person. Someone that will embody the direction the party is hoping to go. Someone that will rally and define the base but appeal to those on the edge like young and new voters. I know it seems easy on paper. But...think George Bush 2000.

If Bush 2000 ran against Obama today, he'd have a chance. He's a rugged, calm, western cowboy. He operates differently than Obama. He's his opposite, running his gut, smirking when he doesn't know the answer, being altogether unapologetic. Yet somehow, he is endearing, charming, someone you'd like to have a beer with. Sadly, we have to be so inclined as to understand that for the American people, this election, is in fact a popularity contest first, and then we would like to discuss the issues.

What the American people need is someone who, at the core is exactly like Obama, but different when it comes to the issues. A clear distinction. Someone that will counter Obama's cool city slicker mentality. He or she has to be the alternate hero. Think Sarah Palin. I know, I know...hear me out. If Sarah Palin wasn't so inclined to fly off the handle, and if she actually knew what she was talking about, she'd be a great candidate. Young and vivacious with old school views. She appeals to new charged voters but embodies old traditions somehow. So who am I talking about?

Well, I dunno if he or she exists yet. But let me describe. A forty something year old playboy from the Southwest who has just been married and is expecting a young baby. He has been in trouble with law before, but now teaches at Sunday School. That's who the Republicans need if they're going to spell out "game over" for the Obama era.

Did you all see this! Folks, this has got to be the best interpersonal communication I have ever witnessed. Larry King interviewed Carrie Prejean recently.

You might better know her as Ms. California USA 2009. The one who recently lost her crown due to breach of contract. Still unsure? You know, the one who coined the phrase "Opposite Marriage" when answering a question posed by Perez Hilton regarding gay marriage, that's her.

Well, Prejean who wrote a book called, "Still Standing" went on LARRY KING LIVE. When King asked about her settlement she went berserk! It made for great T.V. I loved Larry King's face. His astonishment reminded me that he is in fact still alive. He is taken a back as Prejean talks to him like he is in a nursing home.

For God Sakes lady, he is Larry King! He is to be treated with respect, he even has King as part of his name. Plus he's old and wears suspenders! Well, I'll let y'all check it out for yourself! Oh man! I can't wait until they make a SNL segment about this. Was Larry being inappropriate?

Or does Chris Christie look fatter in this picture than he does in all his campaign ads? I think he must of used some creative camera angles, because the Chris Christie I saw was a suave debonair young looking politician with a name that seems right out of the show, 'Saved by the Bell'. Good for him though. Christie, the now Governor Elect and republican destroyed incumbent New Jersey Governor John Corzine (democrat) at the polls on election day. What was Corizine doing, that even Obama couldn't save him? Hopefully, Christie will represent the state well, but I have to say, I'm on the edge with this one. I mean, look at those mannerisms, it's like the guy is reading my playbook as we speak! This should be a 'who did it better'...almost.

Dear President Obama,

You did it! Well, sort of. Last night, as I am sure you are well aware of and no doubt thrilled, a Health Care Reform bill passed in the House. It was a 220 to 215 vote. Yikes, what a close call!? Who needs the World Series of Baseball when you have such a contentious sport right down there in Washington. Did you watch the series? You're a Sox fan right? I am too, Red, not White, of course. I digress. You're half way there big guy. Let's just hope it can pass in the senate as well. However, if I might make some suggestions, I think it would be wise for you to get rid of the STUPAK amendment in the final bill. You know? The one that doesn't cover abortion costs under the Universal Health Care options. It really sets back Roe V. Wade to some extent. If you accomplish this, we as a nation will be making not only the right step but a huge step in the fight for equality. Ultimately, I just wanted to congratulate you. You must be thrilled! You haven't felt this accomplished I bet, since you won the Nobel Peace Prize some weeks ago. God Bless you Mr. Obama and God bless America!

Texan Cowboy, George Dubya Bush, will take on Arkansas's beloved playboy Bill Clinton in February. The two will fight to the death! Well not exactly.

Folks, both parties involved have agreed to a debate on February 25, 2010, at Radio City Music Hall. The two will exchange their own ideas regarding the issues facing America and the rest of the world today.

Holy Smokes! Is this for real!? Where can I get tickets (that's rhetorical, they are on sale for as cheap as 60 bucks and as expensive as 1,500.) It will be nice to see Bush emerge from the shadows. I am worried about him. Personally I think Cheney is somewhere cross dressing and sewing together a skin suit, while holding Bush in a ditch somewhere, but I digress.

Folks. I traveled home last weekend as many of you read. Well on the highway to Connecticut, I noticed, countless times of course, a particular sign. It was one created in response to the American Recovery Act. You know? The one pioneered by our President, Mr. Obama. Still not ringing a bell? The STIMULUS package! Oh yes, now I'm jogging your memory. Well, despite the fact that the unemployment rate is nearing double digits and there is no real sign the stimulus even worked, the government has created these signs to advertise their hard work. Friends in high places

Press Release: Long time friend of Pradia, Kenny (pictured above), met with Massachusetts Governor, Deval Patrick on Wednesday. Kenny, scientist turned actor, discussed the economics and politics of scientific research at the University. Governor Patrick visited the multi million dollar facility known as the Integrated Science Building to meet with students. The Commander In Chief who was unable to meet with the Governor personally, did attend a panel that the Governor sat on. He called his visit, "necessary." Furthermore, Pradia explained that Patrick, "seemed vague but energized about working with students."

Pradia has returned to Camelot after a brief respite at his home in Connecticut. The Commander In Chief traveled to New York to catch the theatrical performance of actress friend, Sarah Derene while home. He called the show, "absolute hilarity and genius. Her performance was nothing short of biblical." The Commander In Chief, will take in one more show (JAY Z) before his work week officially begins.

Man. It's tough being President, isn't it? I mean, every little thing that you do (and don't do) seems to come around to bite you in the face. Must be an even tougher job to be Press Secretary. Gibbs must be running around like a chicken with his head cut off, attempting to gain control of the White House message. What I am alluding to, Mr. Obama, is your recent win of the Nobel Peace Prize. Congrats! I know, at this point, you probably wish that you didn't even win it. It seems to be hurting you more than helping you. Not to mention, it's taken away from the conversation regarding Health Care Reform.

Nevertheless, what's that like, winning the Nobel Peace Prize? Was it really a surprise? Do they call you sounding like teenage girls at a sleep over calling the hottest guy in school Blake Conroy!? How can one break that kind of news over the phone!?

I don't care what the critics say. This is impressive. You're always transcending things. You're always a renegade. I mean, you must be the first President ever to win a peace prize in the middle of two wars. Not to mention, getting it so early in your first term. Gosh.

Just days ago Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was interviewed by the Today Show's Ann Curry. Ann Curry asked if Hillary would run for President again to which Hillary, (on three separate occasions) said "no." Very quickly, with a gentle laugh, just one word, "no." Bullshit! Excuse my language, America. Hillary saying "no" means exactly the opposite. It means, she doesn't want to appear as having an agenda. She doesn't want to appear as not fully supporting Mr. Obama. So folks, you can stop taunting me. Ms. Clinton will in fact, run again. Hillary loves nothing more than advancement. In fact, check out this clip of her, just days after the interview. Pshh. Incidentally, Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize, today...

I jest, I recognize the importance of this. We here at the Commander In Chief congratulate the president on his efforts to inspire global diplomacy. He will now join the likes of Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He is the third president to receive the award in the last 100 years, (President Jimmy Carter, and President Woodrow Wilson preceding him).

Today on twitter, someone tweeted the following which I found to be quite funny: "President Obama is becoming Jimmy Carter faster than Jimmy Carter became Jimmy Carter." The final "snarky" thing I will say is this: I find it funny that Mr. Obama received this award on the same day that a America claimed, "War on the Moon."

Don't Mess with Newark!

Conan O'Brien messed with the wrong city. About a week ago he took a jab at Newark, New Jersey, the mayor, and it's proposed health plan for the residents there. He said that the health care plan would consists of "a bus ticket out of Newark." Well, a very offended Mayor Booker is firing back on YouTube. Personally, we here at the Commander In Chief find the consequences to be a little harsh. Let's face it, Newark is no Aruba.

Dear President Obama,

I'll make this one short, I know you have tons to do. I just wanted to send my condolences to you regarding the Olympics. Talk about getting hit when you're down. Here at home, we are dealing with a failing economy, two wars, and a health care crisis. When does it end? Where does it end! I know that it would have been nice to host the Olympics here in the land of the red, white and blue. Especially in Chicago, the windy city and your hometown. However, and more importantly, something like hosting the Olympics would have been a sure bet to increase the amount of jobs, boost the economy, and the spirit of Americans. I thought that both you and Mrs. Obama did a splendid job in your speeches and making the case for America. For that, I congratulate you. Sadly, now as a country, we will fall back into our everyday lives until 2016 when we can watch the games on our high definition televisions we bought because we had a little money saved but not enough to go on a family vacation. Oh well, we can't all be Michael Phelps.

Seacrest In?

Hold on folks. Don't shoot it down yet. I kind of like this rumor/notion.

Word on the street is that Ryan Seacrest is rumored to be the heir apparent over at CNN for the network program, "Larry King Live." Furthermore the idea and suggestion seems to be at the behest of Larry King himself.

Which has me thinking. Who could fill the shoes better? I can't come up with someone who isn't already too established and committed to something else. Mr. Seacrest on the other hand has done many things but still young, still undefined. Sort of a Jack of all trades but a master of none. This, I think, is his chance. We all know that there is nothing that Ryan Seacrest loves more than advancement.

Larry King who suggested the pick back in 2007 is rumored to be having some "serious negotiations" with the American Idol host. Hmm. Is 2010 going to debut Ryan Seacrest Live? Does he even do politics? He must, if he's survived this long in Hollywood, right?
